Vash The Stampede - Trigun, The planet gun smoke
This is a figurine of Vash The Stampede from Trigun, The planet gun smoke. I have no clue about this character or the anime as I never watch it anyway but the reason I bought him is because he looks so cool though quite tall actually...
So nothing much for me to say further... let's have a look...
The packaging...
Judging from the picture, I guess the original version is in red color but since this is a "Repaint version" and therefore they choose black color and also comes with fixed sunglasses on the face.
When I was looking around and read some of the information on the packaging, I saw something interesting...
Yeah.. this figure is originally sculpted by Masaki Apsy (Maki Asai)
If you're a Figma fan or owner... that name should be familiar with you... I guess Masaki sensei work with Kaiyodo last time before joining Max Watanabe in MaxFactory and producing the great Figma toys that we love and enjoy so much today...
JCTC - ever heard about it? never mind... as you can see here, made by Kaiyodo.
Out of the box... you will get all these stuff...
The figurine...
And this nice diorama display base, 3 optional hands, a gun with knife on it, a black cat, a damaged can of tomato soup and 2 other stuff that I don't know what is it called.
This figurine is quite tall... taller than Figma obviously...
About over 7 inch (over 18cm) tall...
Let's see the figurine's body...
The details all over is quite nice as well...
This is the joint system on the shoulder...
OK, now let's see the articulations.... first on the arms...
As for the head, other than turning left and right, it can also face up and down, something like this;
The upper body part can turn around freely...
Up to 360 degrees if you want to... no problem with that but I don't really need it actually...
And now articulations on the leg part and this is where I don't like it so much....
The leg has basic articulation on the hip - just like the Kamen Rider we reviewed yesterday, basically it has the same articulation type....
No articulation on the knee...
And by the way... this is how the leg screwed to the body... so you can swing it to sideways left or right but kicking is not possible.
This is what the legs/foot can do... you can turn it 180 or even up to 360 degrees...
It makes me think... should I send this figurine for a "surgery" in Shewsbury Medical Centre. I got this crazy idea of cutting the knee part and inserting the Revoltech ball joint there so that the knee can bend a little bit... sound easy but quite complicated actually...
Maybe for now I keep this in ICU first...
So, let's see some action pose...
Amazing, he seems to have artificial limb on the left hand equipped with another gun...
After some simple assembly... this is how it look like on the display base...
The black cat...
Nice details on the display base
It's a Heinz Tomato Soup
So that's about it... nothing much to brag about.
This figurine remind me of the Figma Signum, where most of the actions are actually on the arms/hands only as the leg can't do much anyway and just like Figma Signum, this item have that great cool looks that make you wanted to get him.
For the cheap price I got it (SGD 15.00 only) I have no complains, the only extra thing I could wish for is for some articulations on the knee and that's about it.
