Biryani Rice
Biryani, biriani, or beriani (Nastaliq script: بریانی) is a set of rice-based foods made with spices, rice (usually basmati) and meat, fish, eggs or vegetables. The name is derived from the Persian word beryā(n) (بریان) which means "fried" or "roasted".
Biryani was brought to the Indian Subcontinent by Muslim travelers and merchants. Local variants of this dish are not only popular in South Asia but also in Arabia and within various South Asian communities in Western countries.
Yesterday, I eat this Biryani Rice or rather "Nasi Briyani" as the local call it, I prefer the one with mutton, it was in the the local favorite Indian restaurant and basically you can find this at many Indian food restaurants or outlets...
Apparently I got less mutton yesterday... not happy with it... the price is SGD 5.00
And on the evening, I bought this Nasi Briyani with chicken from the night market.
The rice is not as much as the one I had earlier and the chicken proportion is decent...
The price is only SGD 1.00
Do you also like "Nasi Briyani" ?
How much does it cost (in your currency) ?
If you eat it, do you prefer mutton or chicken ?
