Fly V1

The reasons why I bought camera is because I like to take photos of my Gundams, figures and toys.

In addition to that, I also like to take photos of insects... and thus I bought the Raynox DCR-250 Super Macro Conversion Lens.

1 of the way to improve our photography skills is practice - lots of practice and experiments to see the various type of the final results... mostly are just average, some are bad but surely amongst them there will be a few that is quite good enough - at least for our own level...

As for me, even though I have a decent camera and decent Macro photography tools (at least for beginners level), it doesn't guarantee that I can produce great results immediately.

I need to give lots of input and efforts, lot's of practice and experiments, lots of sweat and energy - sometimes you do need to get dirty...

It's all about practice and luck... yeah, in Macro photography, there are times where you will run out of subject easily. There are times when you can see lot's of insects, sometimes you don't, sometimes you do see some but they tend to jump or fly around and thus frustrating you further...

But there are times when all you need to do is to keep on searching and you will find it...

There is an old saying goes like this:

"Where there is sugar, there is ants"

As for me, I would say this:

"Where there is crap, there is fly"

or another one, goes like this;

"Where there is smelly rubbish, it's possible that there is fly"

In the photo below.... I have to hold my breath facing the cat's crab (or feces) for the sake of getting a good shot of this fly....

Yes... the first 3 photos in this article are basically about a fly enjoying the lovely cat's feces - probably sucking the protein left over....

Never thought that feces will look so exciting on camera isn't it.... hahahahahaha....

And that's it... for the next 2 hours after the above photos, it's pretty hard for me to spot any other flies...

As I walk around in tiredness.... suddenly I saw this fellow and he seems to be a little nice as it give me lot's of times and chances to take lots of photos - I suddenly filled with joy and happiness...

So far, I think these are the best fly photos I've ever had since I got the Raynox DCR-250 Macro Lens.
