Nyamo Lucky Star (Yoshimizu Kagami)
Got this wonderful stuff from my friend K-Toyjutsu (http://toyjutsu.blogspot.com/) a hardcore Kamen Rider fans.
He posted the photo of this amazing super kawaii Nyamo in his blog several months ago and since then I fall in love on this gorgeous cat.... as Lucky Star fans, I love it to have it and been fantasizing to have it for a long time now....
I remember back then that I did ask "K" if there is any chances for me to buy this item from him but at that time he can't decide on it as actually this item were specially hand made by his beloved girl friend, Sawako (LOL, just a fictional name, I don't know and haven't had the chance to meet his girlfriend anyway)...
But it was recently when "K" suddenly contact me and told me that he and his girlfriend decided to give me this Nyamo as a gift instead of selling it to me as they knew that I would love this Nyamo more than those pervert Japanese Adult Video.... LOL...
And with the help of the local King of Figma Collectors, Wilson, I finally able to meet "K" at his home to take this lovely Nyamo and as a bonus, I also managed to play around with his Star Wars Trooper's helmet and his magnificent Henshin Belt DX Double Driver which is awesome.
This Nyamo is actually a mysterious cat that appears in the popular anime Lucky Star. This cat is the self portrayal of the original writer/manga author Yoshimizu Kagami (美水かがみ).
Yoshimizu Kagami was born in October 7, 1977. He is a Japanese manga author from Saitama, Japan. He is well-known as the creator of a four-panel comic strip Lucky Star which has been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's Comptiq magazine since January 2004.
He is also credited for creating Comptiq's mascot character Comp-chan (コンプちゃん, Konpu-chan).
I don't know what they call this thing but if I'm not mistaken it's that thing they call knitting.
Knitting is a method by which thread or yarn may be turned into cloth or other fine crafts. Knitting consists of consecutive loops, called stitches. As each row progresses, a new loop is pulled through an existing loop. The active stitches are held on a needle until another loop can be passed through them. This process eventually results in a final product, often a garment.
Knitting may be done by hand or by machine. There exist numerous styles and methods of hand knitting.
Different yarns and knitting needles may be used to achieve different end products by giving the final piece a different colour, texture, weight, or integrity. Using needles of varying sharpness and thickness as well as different varieties of yarn adds to the effect.
So let's have a look at this Nyamo, hand made by K's girlfriend with lots of love....
First let's focus on the Nyamo itself...
Now let's have a look at the basket.... or whatever it is....
I can go on and on praising this masterpiece of arts.... brilliant, absolutely brilliant....
The Lucky Star figmas in Shewsbury Land are sure happy to have Nyamo....
So happy indeed and if you interested, you can use the last photo below as your computer wallpaper, the size is 3MP (2048 x 1536)...
In my opinion.... the end result of this item is so wonderful, I love every single aspect of it.... I'm not sure about perfection or anything else but to my knowledge in art there is no such thing as perfection. I can guaranteed for sure that the person made this have such a delicate skills and nice talents and I can feel that there is lots of love within this absolute super kawaiiii Nyamo.
It's a joy to have and to hold, it makes me feel happy and forgot all the stress for a while by just touching it and admiring it's beauty.
Thank you very much to K and his lovely girlfriend, words cannot comprehend at how happy I am but 1 thing for sure, this it the best present I've ever received this year and 1 of the best in my life.
Shewsbury Land will treasure this wonderful gift of love and I will take good care of it for as long as I live... thank you so much... I am extremely happy with this Nyamo - my soul feels burning with lots of raging hormones.... I mean, excitement..... LOL
