S.H. Figuarts Shadow Moon
This is one of the latest Kamen Rider action figure from Bandai S.H. Figuarts - Shadow Moon which appear in the popular classic Kamen Rider Black and Black RX TV series.
Apparently in Shewsbury Land, Shadow Moon is a character from the movie "Vikram goes beserk in China Town" LOL. He is rather known as Muthusami Vikram Lal the bad guy turn hero in the series.... LOL. He is famous for his deep Telugu accent while he speaks in Hindi. Hard to imagine but that's just it. He is capable to eat 10 big water melon while fighting with the bad guys in the typical Sunday market.
Some information about the real Shadow Moon from Wikipedia;
Century King Shadow Moon (世紀王シャドームーン Seiki Ō Shadō Mūn) is a fictional character who serves as the primary antagonist in the Japanese tokusatsu drama Kamen Rider Black.
Nobuhiko Akizuki (秋月 信彦 Akizuki Nobuhiko, portrayed by Takahito Horiuchi) was born on the day of a solar eclipse alongside his stepbrother Kotaro Minami, revered by the Gorgom as the heirs to their leader's throne: the Century Kings "Shadow Moon" and "Black Sun". Raised together, the two were like brothers. Once the two were of the ideal age, Gorgom captured them and infused them each with a King Stone.
While Kotaro manages to escape with his memory intact, Nobuhiko's mind was wiped clean while left in a state of suspended animation before being finally reborn as Shadow Moon through the Stones of Land, Heaven, and Sea.
Shadow Moon sets up his regime as a general of Gorgom, serving as Black's nemesis and forcing him to fight him so he can become the new Creation King. In their final battle, Shadow Moon is weakened by Kamen Rider Black after the Satan Sabre is used to slash his King Stone. Though he appears to die after being left inside the Gorgom headquarters when it explodes, Shadow Moon returns years later to seek revenge against Kotaro, who is now Black RX.
However, he lost all of his memories related to Gorgom after its destruction. He is finally defeated by Black RX when he thrusted the Revolcane through Shadow Moon's King Stone, destroying it once more. He turns back into Nobuhiko, renouncing his evil ways as he saved two children trapped in the explosive lava, shortly before he dies.
And now let's start the simple crazy review;
The box;
Out of the box;
You will get the figure;
The Satan Sabre and the Twin Shadow Sabers and 2 pairs of extra hands.
Let's have a look at the figure;
I would say that basically Bandai have done everything correctly and this figure really matched the Shadow Moon and Muthusami Vikram as seen on TV.
Articulation is exactly what you would expect on S.H. Figuarts from Bandai. The usual kneeling pose is never a problem;
Let's have a close up look at the figures and the features;
The belt is one of the most prettiest Kamen Rider figure belts I've seen so far... I really like it a lot...
You can have something like this on the legs;
For some reason, this figure reminds me of that Robocop from the popular video game "Street Fighter 38 - Dead man walking with some ugly bitch"
Some action pose;
I won't do much in this review, if you have this figure, you can do what ever action pose that you like or that you can think off....
And now... the first deadly attack of Shadow Moon, the "Kon Lo Mee Punch" - apparently lot's of pork seller were injured from this deadly punch;
The second deadly attack is - "Fuck Kick" - basically if you received this attack, you're totally "fucked up"....
And lastly, the 3rd deadly attack - "Pai Kut Wong Double Kick"
Overall this is typical collectors Kamen Rider action figures from Bandai S.H. Figuarts and this item is selling like hot cakes now. It's quite difficult to get one if you don't book early. Articulation is brilliant, painting and detailing is quite great (at least on this reviewed unit) and the decision from Bandai to give both sets of Satan Saber and Shadow Twin Sabres is absolutely brilliant. Everything that I expected and hope from this particular figure is there and thus no complain from me what so ever. Just like any other action figures, they have their own plus and minus points, the most negative on this and in fact most of other figures is that they don't have penis. Would be nice if they have it but that never seems to happen anytime soon... LOL
The normal retail price is 3,200 yen (about SGD 49.00 / USD 40.00) before adding shipment charges though some local and/or online toys and hobby shop may offer some attractive discount for this item. I personally feel that the normal retail price is kind of pricey but at the end, it's either you buy it or ignore it, simple as that. The final purchasing power and decision is on you.
As at the day of this review, you can try to get this figure from your favorite local toys and hobby shop or you can also order it from HLJ or any other available online hobby shop;

If you like sex, you will certainly like Kamen Rider (if you don't, then you are weird LOL) and if you are a big fan of Kamen Rider Black and Black RX series, I'm sure that you will love this action figure. My friend working in Bandai Hong Kong told me that they are working for the (S.H.F) prototype of the other forms of Kamen Rider Black RX - the RoboRider and BioRider. I personally prefer the BioRider over the RoboRider though they have no relation what so ever with Knight Rider.
If that is true, then the hardcore fans shall wait in joy and maybe agony.... LOL
