Maisto Custom Shop - 1955 Chevrolet Nomad
Chevrolet Nomad was a station wagon model produced by the Chevrolet Division of General Motors way back in the 1950's to the 1970's era. The Nomad is best remembered in its two-door 1955–57 form, and was considered a halo model during its three-year production as a two-door station wagon.
This is now the 1/64 scale "Maisto Custom Shop - 1955 Chevrolet Nomad"....
The packaging;
Out of the packaging;
In 1955 Chevrolets received all-new styling. Advertised as "The Hot One," the boxy new Chevy was crisp, clean, and thoroughly modern-looking. For 1955 Chevrolets gained a V8 engine option. The new 265 cubic inches (4,343 cc) cubic-inch V8 featured a modern, overhead valve high compression, short stroke design that was so good that it remained in production in various forms, for many decades.
The main features of this miniature die cast car model, are as below...First, the openable engine hood so you can see the "engine details".... WOW....
In fact nothing spectacular to shout about but then again at 1/64 scale, I think this is a nice features and it's always nice to have....
What ever logo that is on the engine hood it's not perfect but Maisto tried their best to produce what they see from the actual 1955 Chevrolet Nomad.
Nice wheels - as always from Maisto Custom Shop;
2 exhaust pipe for a wagon is awesome;
That's how it looks like down there;
And now, time to see the interior;
That chrome bar is kind of annoying and disturbing our view... so as always I will remove them for good.....
And now it's much easier to see the interior details:
I think Maisto did a wonderful job and finishing on the interior part. I love that white color front seat with red belt.... I think it's a nice combination and from the very moment I saw this, I have decided that I will keep the interior color scheme as it is.
Overall, this is one heck of a wagon and deserve some respect and certainly deserve to be part of Shewsbury Land Classic American Cars collection. The 1955 Chevrolet Nomad is a gorgeous wagon at it's time, it's once of those fun classic cars like the popular Mini Cooper. I actually don't mind to keep this Nomad in it's original white color but since I detected some dented on the left rear wheel zone, that means I will surely do some color customization on this Nomad.
Some clue for my next customization project ^__^
