Cloud Strife and Fenir
This is Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Play Arts Action Figure featuring Cloud Strife and Fenir from the CG movie of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, basically the direct sequel after all the events that happen in the PS One video game Final Fantasy VII - one of the best video games of all time which perhaps only the hardcore Tetris or Pacman fan would argue about it.
This item belong to one of our friend who is kind enough to give us the chance to have a close look and do a simple review for it.
In a way, I am also a fan of Final Fantasy series but I am not the hardcore fan for sure. Of all the many games available since many many years ago, I only managed to play a few of them as listed below:
1 - Final Fantasy 7
2 - Final Fantasy Tactics
3 - Final Fantasy 8
4 - Final Fantasy 6
All the modern Final Fantasy on PS2... I never had the chance to play it yet or maybe I'm not interested to try it yet.
What do you think about the hair?
OK let's have a look at the body...
Again.. what do you think about the hair? Some of our staff said they prefer the other one (where the color is full bright yellow)
As for the face... I guess it's quite OK, nothing really impressive or negative...
Some of other details on the clothing... this tiger or lion head can be improved further...
Articulation wise, basically this figurine is as good as Figma... not better or worst than Figma, but as good as...
The main weapon is the gigantic "Buster Sword" - Am I crazy for hoping it can be separated into 2 swords just like in the CG movie when he fight with the magnificent Sephiroth...
OK, let's see some action pose...
Not bad... we are very happy with it's ability to do action pose...
OK now it's time for this beautiful motorbike... they call Fenrir... I don't know much about the engineering technical details but from the looks... it is awesome... it can easily be a a concept model for future bike in our real world...
The details on the bike is really impressive...
I am not an expert about motorbike so nothing much I can say but I'm really impressed with the details and the effort of the team in Kotobukiya to copy the same exact design as we seen on the CG movie.
Let's ask Cloud to ride this Fenrir...
Looks nice but that's all about it...
Overall for a SGD 199.90 this is not cheap but then again when you look at the Fenrir, that would simply give you the answer for the price.
The figurine it self is quite nice with plenty of articulation points and you don't have to worry about action pose.
The only complain I have about the figurine is the right arm and hand. The way Kotobukiya design it where there is a connector near the elbow part make the hands sometimes not able to hold the sword right up - sometimes it's OK but sometimes it can be annoying. Maybe it's the hole and maybe it's the connector... I'm not sure, but it is not as firm as I hope it should be.
Other than that, I don't have much complain about it. The details on the body/clothing is nice and maybe just maybe, in the future they can improve the face a little bit.. just a little bit..
As for the Fenrir... it is indeed very nicely made and detailed. Astonishing I would say... maybe the only extra thing I would hope for the Fenrir is a storage space for the sword just like what we saw in the CG movie... I think it should be somewhere on the side, the front part... nonetheless as it is, I am still happy with it.
So if you are a fan of Cloud Strife or just a typical toys collector and have extra SGD 200.00 to spend, this is indeed a nice deal.

currently I'm playing FF7 & F8 on my laptop, some minor glitches that requires re-writing the program, I'm not really up to it.. =.='
