1/144 HG Cherudim Gundam
This is HG 1/144 Cherudim Gundam, 1 of the 4 heroes MS from Gundam 00 anime piloted by Lyle Dylandy a.k.a Lockon Stratos.
The Cherudim is nicely designed and a lot has been improved since Dynames - both in anime and as a GunPlaMo kit and in fact, as GunPlaMo kit, I prefer Cherudim over Dynames.
Cherudim Gundam is a specialist for long range attack and also a very effective sniper but he is not a push over when it comes to melee-combat as well as we seen in the Episode 23/24 of the anime where Cherudim fought a hard battle with Arche Gundam piloted by the most annoying bad guy Ali Al Sacheez...
The box;
The body of Cherudim
Articulation wise is still quite OK, perhaps the only annoying thing (IMO) is that long thing at the back (or rather on the ass) of Cherudim....
Quite stable when standing with this pose...
Can still do the kicking action...
You can still stretch the legs like this...
The Cherudim's primary armament - GN Sniper Rifle II, stored on the right shoulder...
Folded in half for storage, it can be used in this configuration as a short-to-medium-range three-barrel Vulcan gun...
GN Sniper Rifle II
And now Vulcan gun...
Unlike the Dynames, the Cherudim is not equipped with Beam Sabers. However, The GN Beam Pistol II can serve as its melee weapon, sporting an anti-beam coating capable of blocking enemy beam sabers and can be used as an axe...
Now it look like an axe...
Fold it a bit and now it become GN Beam Pistol II...
2 of them stored at the back pack and of coz you can use both of them...
Bandai include this special crystal clear stand to put demonstrate the Shield Bit system at works...
This Cherudim is equipped with the Shield Bit system which allows all nine GN Shield Bits to be remotely controlled and used for defensive purposes - I think it's Haro computer brain that will control it... it is basically something like that "Fang" system on Throne Zwei though that is mainly for offensive... those days in Gundam Seed/Destiny they call this "DRAGOON system" and in the Universal Centuries of classic Gundam they call this "Funnels"...
These 9 GN Shield Bits are stored/mounted on all over Cherudim's body.... 2 on the knees;
2 are mounted to the left shoulder as a shield
5 mounted around the GN Drive on its rear waist (or should I say ass)
This is basically how he look like without all those GN Shield Bits...
With that clear crystal special stand.... you can form some sort of defensive shield to protect the Cherudim...
In fact there are few other type of arrangement or assortment that you can choose and use as shown in the manual... it is all up to you... you can even do any other assortment that you like as long as the stand can handle it...
Some sample of those GN Shield Bits in actions... something like in the anime.... though honestly they looks better in the anime as the can move around as they wish to protect the Cherudim from many angles of enemy's bullets....
And lastly Bandai also give this clear "HoloScreen" part to be attached to the targeting unit folded out from the backpack.
In "Trans-Am mode" Cherudim can deploys a "HoloScreen" - a targeting unit stored in the backpack which is used to boost Cherudim's accuracy by increasing the speed at which it processes targeting information... From there onwards, it's all about accurate shooting spree for Cherudim till the "Trans-Am mode" period end...
Apart from this Cherudim you see here now, you can basically buy another unit of Cherudim in the "Trans-Am mode" color if you like those pinkish and glossy "Trans Arm color" and of coz if you are a real big fan of Cherudim, I guess you might also consider the Cherudim Gundam with GNHW/R parts.
Overall this HG 1/144 Cherudim Gundam is a pretty nice kit, we are happy with it and just like many other 1/144 HG GunPlaMo kits from of Gundam 00 anime, the proportion is quite accurate and true to the anime. I personally believe that all 1/144 HG for Gundam 00 are much better and cleverly designed if compared to their 1/100 counterparts.
I have the 1/100 00 Gundam and apart from the LED stuff and the bigger size I personally don't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the 1/144 HG which has more articulation ability and can do far more dynamic action pose despite it's small size.
Last but not least.. they said that this can be the best candidates as the best super-zoom/bridge camera of 2009... if you are looking for digital camera that can do long zoom and produce great quality images with option to use the "Creative - PASM" modes, then you can consider this one and the price is quite cheap...

The features that I like the most is the "Pro-Focus" and the 1cm distance for Macro mode - that is awesome...
