Revoltech AV-98 Ingram 1 Movie Version
This is Revoltech AV-98 Ingram 1 Movie Version which I get from E-Bay for a cheap price (SGD 20.00 + SGD 10.00 shipment charges = Total is SGD 30.00) ... In fact, in Singapore, you can get this item easily in many of the shops in China Square Central.
The original retail price (in HLJ) was 1,900 yen (which is roughly about SGD 30.00) before adding whatever shipment charges .
The box...
Out of the box, you will get all these stuff...
The figure...
All the extra hands, weapons, extra head and of coz the display base/stand.
As always, the usual drill... let's have a look at the figure first...
I need to adjust the Revoltech ball join on the left knee...
Despite such a decent low price, the details on the body is quite nice, I have no complain what so ever, very happy with it...
Articulation wise.... this is a typical Revoltech figure that have great articulation points on the joints and thus kneeling pose is possible and can be done easily... again, no complain about the articulation, it is what you can expect from the old type Revoltech mecha...
The face/head....
The extra face/head - which I don't really like...
Some action pose with all the weapons.... first the 90mm Riot Gun... IMO, it looks like a "shot-gun" used by T-800 (in that Terminator 2 movie).
The next weapon is the Revolver Cannon...
The extra gimmick offered by this "Movie Version" is an openable cover on the right leg to reveal the storage compartment for its revolver cannon...
Too bad that it is only available on the right leg.... would be nice if it's available on both legs...
And lastly this thing... I guess it's a steel baton to whack the bad guy's head...
Overall this is indeed a very nice articulated action figure made by Revoltech. It's simple and straight forward but the openable storage cover on the right leg is an added advantage.
If you are a Patlabor fan, this is a must have in your collection...
If you not a fan of Patlabor but somehow want to get an action figure at a reasonable price and yet still can produce great range of articulation, this can offer a good value for your money....
If you are a serious big fan of Patlabor and have plenty of extra money to spend, at the moment, you can consider the high end 1/48 W.H.A.M.! AV-98 Ingram Labor 1 Alphonse from the magnificent Wave Corporation.
You can see the rest of the Patlabor action figures available in HLJ in here.

patlabor one of my fave mecha I want type zero from this revoltech line too bad it's sold out and discontinued T_T
ReplyDeleteNice review. I like patlabor too as a Mecha design. The golden bell background look good. Where did you get that?
ReplyDeleteBTW the steel baton in the photo look like holding the wrong way. :P
Momoe, don't worry, if you go to Singapore most likely you can still get it... If I know I can get from Singapore earlier... I wont bother to grab it from E-Bay
ReplyDeleteLeon... mmm, come to think of it, I think you're right... no wonder it was difficult for me to make him hold it properly... thanks for the tip... In fact I get annoyed with it last night - obviously I don't want to think a lot about it and just move on...
ReplyDeleteThat golden bell... I grab it from Mustaffa 24 hours shopping mall... I'm sure you know where is it lah...
The price is SGD 10.00 only.
